Lovely art deco styling and dovetail corners on this vintage wooden flatware-silverware chest, ca. 1930s. This chest can hold up to a silver service for 24. It has 12 knife slots in the lid, 10 slots in the main compartment and another 10 slots in the drawer. Twelve pieces of flatware can be stacked in each of those 20 slots and there is room for serving pieces as well. All four corners of the wood chest are dovetailed and each of the corners of the drawer are dovetailed as well. The finish is very pretty with darker stained corners.
This vintage silverware chest measures 16 inches long x 11 3/4 inches deep and 6 inches tall. The sticker inside reads "National Silver Company". Maroon tarnish resistant lining. Condition is very good-excellent.
